Joseph Patrick Shea is the founder of Shea Law Group in Chicago, a prominent, client-centered personal injury law firm, with offices in downtown Chicago, surrounding suburbs, and the original Logan Square location.
Bringing 30+ years of litigation experience to each case, Attorney Joseph Shea is a dedicated, tenacious trial lawyer who cares deeply about his clients and helping them attain the justice and compensation they deserve. A graduate of St. John’s University and the University of Wisconsin Law School, he not only holds a law degree, but also a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a concentration in pre-med.
As an experienced and knowledgeable attorney, Mr. Shea has successfully represented many grievously injured individuals, including those who have experienced traumatic brain injury due to medical malpractice, construction accidents or automobile accidents. Throughout the course of his career, he has attained significant settlements for many of his clients, including:
- $2.5 million for a construction accident
- $2 million settlement for wrongful death
- $955,000 verdict for a pedestrian struck by a moving van in a crosswalk
- $1.3 million verdict for a wrongful death of a minor pedestrian
- $600,000 settlement in a malpractice case for a fall from a MRI table
- $300,000 settlement for a five-year old girl who was attacked by a pit bull
- $1.7 million settlement for a wrongful death auto accident
